The woman rode a HORSE into Studio 54. Now if that doesn't represent the glamour of the disco days I don't know what does!!

STUDIO 54
Jerry Hall and Mick Jagger
The disco days of Studio 54 was a place where dreams became reality. I remember when I first moved out to NY in 2001 I experienced my own "disco days". People actually danced to the music. Places like Spa, Bungalow 8 and Pangea were the "hot" spots. I'm not sure if the glitz and glam wear off after awhile but I don't feel that same energy in nightlife these days. The mood and air has changed. Or perhaps I've changed. Something about the interaction of people has changed. We are too comfortable with our entourage to really go out there and explore and mingle with strangers. A perfect example would be the occasional eye fucking. You're having a totally boring conversation with this guy because his friend is talking to your friend so it would only be natural he talks to you. As he's mumbling away about some random bullshit you don't even know because you've blocked him out 2 minutes ago, some totally hot guy you saw earlier walks by and you eye fuck the shit outta each other. He stands there waiting for you to turn around and leave your boring conversation. Right at that moment you make a decision. Talk to this new stranger or stay chatting with this other boring stranger. This decision would change the following days ahead. This is how we make or break our destiny. Its that one split second decision that could change everything. I won't bother telling you what decision I made that night....
