Seasons change...

Now that we are transitioning into colder temperatures not only do we need to revamp our wardrobe, we need to revamp our skincare routine! The same moisturizer I used during the hot humid summer weather just doesn't cut it when the freezing wind is blowing in my face. I don't like using a thick moisturizer because it just feels too heavy and clogs my pores. I've tried a few products from the Malin Goetz line...pretty good stuff. Comparable to Kiehls but a bit pricier and they use more natural ingredients.
I cannot say enough GOOD things about the Replenishing Serum! I posted about the Kiehl's Miracle Recovery serum about a month ago but this serum works much better for me. Both have a heavenly herbal scent but the Malin Goetz one has 2.0 % Sodium Hyaluronate which is a vital ingredient in adding moisture and helping to maintain firmness. At $68 a pop for a very small bottle I was a bit skeptical on whether it would deliver results. Of course it turned out to be amazing and I love it! I use 2 small pumps and pat all over my face ...even under my eyes. It is suppose to help my eye cream absorb better and adds extra moisture. The eye area needs EXTRA moisture, especially at night when your skin is healing. Remember, dry skin tends to wrinkle a lot faster than well nourished plump skin. The eye area is extremely delicate so remember to pat gently. After about a minute I put on my moisturizer ( with sunscreen for daytime). I use the serum day and night. LOVE :)

Kiehl's newest miracle product

I have been using Kiehls products for years now. Lately not so much because I've been distracted by the million of products on the market. The Calendula toner and Pineapple papaya scrub has been a longtime favorite. Their new Midnight Recovery Concentrate has been getting rave reviews... supposedly a miracle product with instant results. I had to see what all the hype was about....

Tried it last night and my skin DID feel amazing! Got a generous sample from Kiehls (Its suppose to last 1 week) You use 3-4 drops and pat onto clean skin at night time. You can layer with a  moisturizer on top if your skin is very dry.  You will notice and feel a difference in your skin right away! My skin has been acting a little crazy lately and the thought of using an oil on my face is a bit scary. However this absorbed into my skin right away and my face felt lifted, smooth and supple in the morning. The mixture of essential oils smell heavenly. Only been using for 2 days so can't give you any long term results. Keep in mind this product is targeted primarily at replenishing moisture and giving you a glow. Don't expect it to make your wrinkles disappear or get rid of discoloration. However dry skin is a fast track to wrinkle city. The lost of moisture and collagen in skin is what contributes to lines. Replenishing the skin at night time is crucial at any age.
Seems like an overall great eye cream to add moisture and replenish the eye area after a long day. Can't say I feel a dramatic difference but I would definitely continue using for a few more weeks just to see if I notice a change in the skin texture

Go to a Kiehl's store and get a sample! I'm pretty sure you will love it as much as I did ;)

Loafer flat

Christian Louboutin- $995

Philip Lim- $325

Alexander Wang- $495

Repetto-$315

Zara- $69

Barneys Bernice Flat- $375

I've been looking for a great flat that is NOT a ballerina or scrunchy back style. Seems like the new look for the season is a Loafer flat. Somewhere between a slipper and moccasin, they are super comfy and chic enough to wear with any outfit. This silhouette packs much more substance than the average flat which often leaves very little support or cushion. My fav is the Louboutins and Alexander Wang patent with tassel!

Arizona Muse has definitely been one to watch since the beginning. I am so happy to see her everywhere lately! She has one of the most strikingly beautiful faces in the industry, somewhere between a retro starlet and natural beauty. And certainly no one else can pull off the short tousled locks!
