shop talk- Wendy Nichol Studio
I have a love hate relationship with Soho. Especially on the weekends. So what does one do on a rainy Monday morning with a few hours to spare...wander over to the other side of Soho. West Soho I suppose. The quiet, quaint and less touristy side of Soho. Sullivan and Thompson are both great blocks with yummy bakeries, sandwich shops and one of the best coffee spots in NYC, Local. And for all the uber healthy readers who needs their daily fix of chlorophyll, Organic Avenue has a new location on Sullivan! I stopped into Local and had the best coconut green tea EVER. Try it. I saw the Wendy Nichol shop across the street and decided to stop in and see what's new. The first thing I saw and fell in love with was the Aztec bullet bag! ($675) I'm not really into Native American designs/motifs but this bag was gorgeous!! Perhaps the black or tan one would be more practical. I'm contemplating on which one to get! The feather hair extensions were also another fun accessory. Made from rooster feathers and dyed with a soy based ink. Can be washed and styled. Lasts for up to 6 weeks. Very cool.
